Available in CuNi 90/10, Stainless Steel and Galvanized steel
Introduction

The CHIBRO pressfitting System of carbon steel allows to realize, in a reliable and economic way, pipelines of various type of plants in the industrial, residential and commercial fields, in the range of diameters from 12 up to 108mm.

The CHIBRO pressfitting System consists of the following components:

Fittings

Bends, tee pieces, reducers, etc. Of carbon steel ST 44.0 according to DIN 1626 galvanized on the outer surfaces. The range goes from o.d 12 to o.d 108mm.

Pipes

Electro-seamed precision pipes of carbon steel, St 44.0 according to DIN 2394/ DIN 1626, galvanized on their outer surface. The range goes from o.d 12 to o.d 108mm. For installations with possible presence of moisture (e.g in-the-wall) have a second coating of polypropylene for more protection. The range goes from o.d 12 upto o.d 54mm.

Electrohydraulic pressing tools

For the connection of components by pressing the fittings onto the pipe ends. The range ofcomponent is completed with various accessories that can be coupled to the pipes with the same technique of CHIBRO pressfitting system.

Main advantages of CHIBRO pressfitting System:

simple and fast assembly
reliability of pipework also in severe service condition
elimination of workshop labour normally carried out with conventional systems
weight reduction of moved and installed material
    no fire hazard during installation

System Description

The fittings of CHIBRO pressfitting

The basic elements of teh system are the specially designed CHIBRO pressfitting fittings of carbom galvanized steel that are available in various forms and dimensions (see range of manufacture) and allow to install pipelines by using fittings and straight pipes only. Fittings have at each end a toroidal groove with an o-ring seal, in synthetic rubber, which deformed by pressing tool provides the tightness to the coupling. The mechanical strenght is ensured by the deformation of fitting and insterted pipe.

The sealing o-ring is made of EPDM (Proviso KTW, hygienical compliance according to prescript W270 of DVGW), a rubber particularly resistant to ageing, ozone, heat, as well as to chemicals, including conditioners normally used for heating & cooling systems. Pipe systems for fuel oilor for lubricants should have their fittings equipped with o-rings of NBR.Using suitable adaptor fittings, it is possible to connect pipelines made with CHIBRO pressfitting Systems with threaded welded or flanged standard elements.
